Dear Parents/Guardians:
Some information is so important that it bears repeating.
Please read the H1N1 Advisory to Parents. It provides guidelines and a common sense approach to maintaining the health of our children.
As you are already aware, the award for perfect attendance has been temporarily eliminated and our absentee policy has become more lenient due to the H1N1 virus.
You will find a form letter attached to this email, as well as, on the Hampton School website labeled: Return to School Note for Flu-Like Symptoms. Upon the child’s return to school, the completed form will be reviewed by the school nurse. The child will be assessed and the absence will be viewed as excused.
Parents/guardians must call the Health Office Hotline at 908-537-6428 to report their child absent from school. Please be sure to provide the following information in your message:
If you do not report your child’s absence, a call of inquiry will be made to assure the child’s safety and to check on the child’s health status.
Please remember that maintaining a healthy school environment is a group effort. Thank you for helping us to keep our students healthy.
